Draft Survey / Bunker Survey Inspection

The Draft Survey or supervision by drafts consists of determining the total or partial dry load of a material transported by ship by reading the drafts using Archimedes’ principle, which becomes the fundamental principle of buoyancy, showing that the The weight of an object floating in a fluid – float – is equal to the weight of the volume of the fluid that the submerged part of it displaces.

  1. Loading and unloading supervision.
  2. Inspection of the ship’s holds (Seals, material, sampling as required).
  3. Determination of humidity of the sample according to request or requirement.
  4. Weight determination by Draft (Draft Survey).
  5. Measurement (Balance Tanks, Fuel Oil, Sea Wather Density, General Deductibles, etc.).
  6. Documentation (Cargo Plan, Hydrostatic Tables, State of Fact, vessel constants).
  7. Final cargo certification.
  8. Discharge control by means of records obtained on land. (Weight).
  9. Traceability of the material unloaded from the port to its reception point at the plant.
